Tom & Courtney Wedding 4/25/08

Well I shot the Tom & Courtney's wedding last night and I must say it was a FUN wedding to shoot. Tom & Courtney gave me full artistic freedom to shoot it anyway I'd like and that is the BEST kind of client to have. Everything went smooth as ice and everyone was so nice to me, kinda made me feel like part of the family for the day which is always nice to have such a wonderful work environment. It was a LONG day starting at 11:30am and the shoot ran until midnight but in the end it was well worth it. I got some incredible shots and everyone was very cooperative to say the least. Grandma was so cute and funny more then the average grandma constantly joking around with me. The brides parents & sister were also wonderful people and made my job easy and fun.

The church ceremony went smooth but with the no flash restriction put on me by the church made things a little tough. I pulled out the Nikon 18-200 VR lens & my Prime 50mm f/1.8 fast lens for the low light conditions. The alter was huge and allowed for some interesting shots from the angle I grabbed with the tripod. They had some wonderful stained glass in the church and the gallery was full of people on both sides. The ring bearer & flower girl were very cute and I got some wonderful shots of them as well.

The reception was amazing, they had a great DJ with a fantastic lighting system that got me some great natural light shots while folks were dancing. The food was god and the Bride & Groom seemed to enjoy themselves a lot.

All in all a wonderful job and I'm very satisfied with the shots I got, one of my better weddings, very relaxing and having the freedom to shoot freestyle was a big bonus allowing me to get some really artistic shots that otherwise would not have been possible.

So Thanks to Toe & Courtney for a wonderful night and allowing me to shot MY style of wedding, hopefully you will enjoy your photos as much as I did shooting them !
